About the Role
My World of Work Live is an engaging and interactive programme to inspire young people into careers across a wide range of skills and occupations which are of critical importance to the Scottish Economy now and in the future.
The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the My World of Work Live interactive experience aimed at P5-S6 across the Highlands & Islands.
The role is full time and permanent and based in Inverness.
This role will require travel throughout the Highlands & Islands area, so it is essential that you possess a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.There will also be occasional work outside of normal working hours to maximise our offer.

About You
You’ll be educated to degree level (SCQF 9) ideally in a STEM subject or have significant comparable experience of working in the STEM sector.
You’ll have experience of working with and engaging young people and will have the interpersonal skills required to communicate, enthuse and inspire.
Strong technical/ICT skills are also required. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working within the Scottish Skills system.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG check.

Dundee Science Centre is currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team to play a key role as Interpretation Manager during an exciting period of transformation at Dundee Science Centre (DSC) through the delivery of our £2Million CONNECT project.
Salary range £15,500 - £19,000 (depending on experience) Full time - 37.5 hours per week (any 5 days of 7) This post is suitable for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with a commitment to widening participation to science learning and a passion for engaging a wide variety of public and community audiences with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). You will play a key role in the creation and implementation of Dundee Science Centre's (DSC's) exhibition and public engagement programme of interactive shows, special events, widening access initiatives and projects e.g. Dundee Science Festival, and exhibition programming; designed to suit the needs of our local community and bring people together to enjoy science. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating a variety of interactive shows, activities and projects for all of our audiences; including early years, families, community groups and audiences classed as underserved or hard to reach who may face barriers to engaging with science. Dundee Science Centre is looking for an outstanding individual with: a passion for public engagement and community education; excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the motivation to work in a visitor centre environment. Qualification and knowledge/experience in a relevant area (public engagement, education or community education) is required. Experience in development, coordination, delivery and training of STEM learning experiences and is required. You should also be experienced in managing your own time and workload, leading projects from initiation through to fruition and working towards objectives with little supervision.
