As JDRF’s Research Communications and Engagement Officer you will support the delivery of our communications strategy. You will be responsible for creating vibrant, engaging research-themed content for different audiences via different channels. You’ll maintain important relationships with UK-based research scientists.
You’ll already have some experience of working in a communications team, translating complex research for colleagues. You’ll have evidence of how you’ve galvanised audiences to support science – both on social media and as a speaker at public events.
Beyond that digital knowledge and those verbal communication skills, it’s crucial that you have first-rate writing abilities. You’ll also offer top-notch creative, time management and planning skills.
In return we offer you flexible working, good annual leave entitlement, a season ticket or bike loan, an employee assistance programme and a childcare voucher scheme. We have strong, positive values and friendly culture where we support you in developing your career aspirations.
