STEM Engagement Adviser – My Wow Live (Inverness)

About the Role

My World of Work Live is an engaging and interactive programme to inspire young people into careers across a wide range of skills and occupations which are of critical importance to the Scottish Economy now and in the future.

The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the My World of Work Live interactive experience aimed at P5-S6 across the Highlands & Islands. 

The role is full time and permanent and based in Inverness.

This role will require travel throughout the Highlands & Islands area, so it is essential that you possess a valid driving licence and  have access to a vehicle.There will also be occasional work outside of normal working hours to maximise our offer.

About You

You’ll be educated to degree level (SCQF 9) ideally in a STEM subject or have significant comparable experience of working in the STEM sector. 

You’ll have experience of working with and engaging young people and will have the interpersonal skills required to communicate, enthuse and inspire. 

Strong technical/ICT skills are also required. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working within the Scottish Skills system.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG check.

The closing date for applications is 19May 2019

Interviews are expected to take place in Inverness on 12 June 2019

A relocation package may be available to the successful candidate.
