This year, the awards panel had an especially tough time this year with a very strong group of applicants. The panel would like to thank all those who nominated others to help acknowledge the inspiring work that is being done across the sector. 

Harry White, the Chair of the awarding panel says; "The applications for the awards were truly inspiring, the range and quality of work being done in the field of Informal Science Learning is nothing short of awesome. This year, two applicants scored equally highly and so the panel has decided to make two awards. I’m thrilled to announced that the winners for 2026 are Elin Roberts, whose award-winning work on memorable experiences, shows and exhibits embodies the Beetlestone philosophy, and David Price, whose pioneering work on the art of science busking is highly innovative and creates a legacy of impact in the sector - especially with hard-to-reach audiences in their own environment.”

The winners will be invited to receive their awards at the BIG Event in York in July.
