Finance Advisor
Salary Range: £25,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full or Part time work considered

Dundee Science Centre is currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team to fulfil the influential role of Finance Advisor either in a full or part time capacity.

You will provide comprehensive and practical finance support to the CEO, attending Board meetings in an advisory capacity.

You will play an integral part in the organisation by providing and presenting financial information to the management team so that it can be used to inform Dundee Science Centre's decisions with regards performance and relevant activities; enabling us to work to our strengths and address areas requiring attention.

As Finance Advisor you will support the organisations ambition by ensuring our financial position is communicated regularly and action taken to influence performance when required.

You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, analysing income and expenditure and recommending improvements where necessary.

You will complete accounts to pre-audit stage, manage the audit process, ensure charity and company law regulation compliance, undertake routine finance procedures and line manage one member of staff, providing finance training to all.

You will be an advocate for Inclusion & Diversity; supporting the development of DSC's culture of inclusion for our team and visitors.

We are looking for someone with experience of the finance function and who wants to work in a fast paced environment and make a difference to society by supporting the work we are trying to carry out at the Centre.

You will have the required qualification, excellent communication and organisation skills and more importantly a positive attitude.

You will work flexibly within the Dundee Science Centre team; hours of work to be discussed, flexible working will be considered and occasional weekend and evening work will be required.
