Development & Fundraising Advisor - Dundee Science Centre

Salary Range: £24,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Full Time: Permanent contract based on 37.5 hours per week, working any 5 days of 7

Dundee Science Centre is currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team to fulfil the influential role of Development & Fundraising Advisor.

You will play an integral part in shaping and driving Dundee Science Centre's learning and widening access initiatives that support our vision as an accessible hub for science communication and public engagement.

As Development & Fundraising Advisor you will support the continued growth of the organisation through fundraising and seeking sponsorship for core activity and development projects.

You will initiate new projects as required.  In addition, you will manage the teams and relevant budgets to achieve project goals.  You will oversee the overall impact and evaluation of the Learning Programmes implemented, to ensure we capture and have the ability to share the positive impacts and outcomes with our many stakeholders, partners and wider communities.

You will be responsible for identifying the areas in need of addressing within our programmes at the Centre as well as source any related funding opportunities to carry out such programmes.

You will be an advocate for Inclusion & Diversity, contributing to the development of DSC's widening access strategies creating a culture of inclusion for our team and visitors.

We are looking for someone with experience of writing fundraising bids for learning/science engagement activities; as well as having knowledge and experience of managing a team tasked with developing and creating a learning programme for all audiences.

You will also have excellent communication skills, experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.

You will work flexibly within the Dundee Science Centre team, with a working week of 37.5 hours per week; any 5 days of 7, with occasional weekend and evening work a requirement, in addition to occasional travel.
