• Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes, Cheshire is looking to appoint a suitably qualified Science Presenter to deliver the award winning Education Programme to families and groups visiting the Science Centre at the weekends. The role will involve delivering hands-on science workshops and shows, performing scientific and chemical demonstrations to the public and enthusing children and adults about science. The successful candidate will have:
  

  
  

• the ability to present information in a confident and enthusiastic way

• excellent communication skills
• the ability to work with people of all ages. 
• a strong interest in science, including a minimum of an A-Level in Science (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) 
• on appointment you will need to apply for a  DBS check as you will be working with children and their families. 

The job will usually involve working at Catalyst for 1 weekend in every 3, although flexibility will occasionally be required to cover special events and holidays. Pay: Hourly rate - national minimum wage.
