Open Source Science Programme Developer
Location: Hybrid – your time will be split between our office/venue on Bristol Harbourside, and your home or wherever you like to work.
We’re happy to support flexible working – both through hybrid working and your working pattern. You just need to be able to attend key meetings, have some cross-over with the rest of the Programming, Open Source Science and delivery teams and deliver the responsibilities of the role.
Report to: Open Source Science Manager
Salary: £26,500 per annum
Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week with some weekend and evening working.
Deadline: Sun 16 July at midnight
Start date: Ideally mid to late September 2023, depending on the successful candidate’s availability/notice period
About the role
You’ll be responsible for creating content for our Open Source Science (OSS) programme. OSS is our public engagement with research programme which includes activities, workshops and participatory experiences, developed in collaboration with research partners, audiences and community partners.
You will have experience of public engagement with science or research, and be highly organised and visitor focused. You are confident maintaining a large number and diverse range of professional relationships and bringing together ideas and research partners from across disciplines.
You will work as part of the Open Source Science team, which includes Head of OSS, OSS Project Manager and Research Collective Community and Programme Developer. This team is focused on delivery of OSS activity and also works as part of a wider cross departmental team.
