Communications and Engagement Assistant Salary: £26,600 - £32,800 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. Contract: 10 months, part time Location: John Innes Centre, Norwich, UK. 


 Reference: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications and Engagement Assistant to join the Communications and Engagement department, to support the cutting-edge science of the John Innes Centre.  The role: The Communications Assistant will help to create engaging content across a variety of media and assist with events and other communications activities. The role will support the Communications Manager, Public Engagement Officer, Digital Communications Officer, and Head of Communications and Engagement in their work. This role will help the institute to clearly communicate its research to a range of key audiences, and will develop skills in science communication, administration and in event co-ordination. The ideal candidate: The post holder will be educated to A-level or equivalent. We are looking for someone who can confidently create written and digital content and is passionate about communicating. The post holder will be able to talk and interact with a range of people and have a keen understanding of how and why organisations communicate externally and internally. Experience of basic design, layout and digital asset production would be beneficial. Additional information: This is a part-time role providing additional resource in the Communications and Engagement Team to enable maternity cover elsewhere within JIC. 

The post is available for 9 months in the first instance. Interviews will be held on 3rd October 2022.
