Training Researchers in Public Engagement and Outreach
Location: Online via Zoom

This BIG Skills Day will explore all the things you need to know about training researchers in Public Engagement and Outreach. We’ll explore different formats for training, content you may wish to consider, and some of the cultural challenges we face when developing and delivering training in universities. You’ll have the opportunity to consider training from the researchers’ perspective and identify the skills you have / need to run effective training. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to share your own experiences and hear from others.

Your Trainer

Helen Featherstone, PhD, Head of Public Engagement at the University of Bath. She has been working with researchers to develop their skills in public engagement for nearly 25 years.
