In 2019 The Roslin Institute will celebrate 100 years of Animal Genetics in Edinburgh via a programme of public and schools events, with supporting online and printed content, to highlight our current research in this area. We are recruiting a Public Engagement Assistant to support the planning and development of the centenary programme, which will run alongside our regular public engagement activities.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable individual with experience of developing and running public engagement activities and/or events and will report directly to The Roslin Institute’s Public Engagement Officer. You will work with the Institute’s engagement and communications teams and our researchers to plan events, research and develop accessible activities and resources for public and school audiences, and create online content about animal genetics.
The position is a fixed term, 12-month contract and although some degree of flexible working may be possible we anticipate that the role will be full time (35 hours per week).
