British International Education Association is a youngl non profit organisation focused on bring best STEM education to students in the UK and overseas. Our current market focus is China. It has an annual STEM competition for young people aged between 9 to 17. In 2019, the competition will be hosting 24 finalist teams from at least 5 countries. There is a lot of planning and details to think about.
We are looking for a creative, confident person who understands what makes a good event and competition, who is passionate about science and who is determined to bring accessible, exciting science to young people through development of inspiring and innovative formats. You will be a great net-worker and alive to opportunities.
You’ll work with STEM experts and PR team to develop and plan a programme of events aimed at raising profiles of the competition and ensure project delivery.
You’ll have experience of working in a marketing or events management role. You’ll be an advanced user of social and digital media and have good knowledge of sponsorship. Experience in facilities management, funding applications would be a great bonus.
There may be occasion when you are needed to work outside normal office hours as we work with partners in other time zones.
This is a unique opportunity for a committed and special individual to grow their career. There will be occasional international travel.
