Salary:                  £21,000 - £24,000 per annum, pro rata (0.6 FTE)

Contract:             12 months. 

Hours:                  22.5 hours a week including some evening and weekend work

Summary of the job

At-Bristol Science centre is looking for a talented communicator to join our vibrant Live Science Officer team to develop and lead delivery of a new Citizen Science programme in collaboration with Bristol University’s SPHERE project.  Through 2017 and 2018 the SPHERE project will be deploying a unique and very complex network of sensors into local homes.  The sensors will monitor aspects of daily life relevant to health.

The Citizen Science Officer will be responsible for developing a variety of participatory citizen science activities, including those co-produced with participants.  A successful candidate will have proven experience of engaging a range of audiences and a clear understanding of the research process.
