You can voluntarily send data about yourself to BIG using forms on this web site. The Membership database is stored for BIG by a hosting company in the UK. Access to the database uses password protection.

Data Collection - BIG-CHAT
You need only supply your e-mail address to access BIG-CHAT. BIG-CHAT data is stored for BIG by Yahoo Inc, www.yahoogroups.com, on servers in the USA.

Data Collection - Services Directory
You can voluntarily send data about yourself to BIG using forms on this web site. The Services Directory database is stored for BIG on servers in the UK. Access to the database uses password protection.

Sharing your data
Data provided to BIG as part of a membership application will be made available on-line to other BIG members through a password-protected web page. This forms the membership directory for BIG. Data provided to BIG for the BIG Services Directory application will be made public on this website. Data may also be used by BIG Executive Members or their agents to organise BIG activities. Data is not shared with other organisations.

Privacy Compliance
We believe our data use to be compliant with the UK's Data Protection Act 1998. (We believe that BIG is exempt from formal notification under this act.)
