Inspire voted a top attractionINSPIRE capped a busy 1999 by making it to the finals of the Berry Savory Tourism Award for Norfolk's most outstanding attraction. This is the first year that the award, run by the Norfolk Tourist Attractions Association, has been presented. Based on voting from visitors and reading local papers, it is one of the few regional tourism awards which reflects the views of the public. In this, INSPIRE was voted one of Norfolk's top three attractions, along with the Thursford Steam Collection (the eventual winner) and The Village Experience. Voters were particularly impressed with INSPIRE's ability to keep offering them something new whenever they returned. This process has continued with the introduction of six exhibits rehomed from the Exploratory and a Building Zone where people can experiment with structures using foam blocks, arches and beams. The recently launched toddler's group, the INSPIRE Imps, is also proving extremely popular and a very successful perspective and illusion workshop was held over half term with local artist Sarah Florence.
