Children's MuseumsCentres for Curiosity and Imagination - When is a Museum not a Museum? A Gulbenkian Foundation Report by John Pearce This new report describes the growth of ‘children’s museums
in the United States and examines related institutions in Europe. The
author has a 30-year background in community development, and was Chief
Executive of Strathclyde Community Business Ltd until 1991. He now works
as a consultant. His report lists nearly 40 centres visited in compiling
the report: from Boston Children’s Museum to The Salem Witches Museum
in the States, and Eureka!, Exploratory, Techniquest and all the usual
suspects in the UK and Europe. We hope to review the book when it
is published in March.
